Project: Carlton Main Sewer Upgrade
After more than 114 years of use, the Carlton Main Sewer was in poor condition and needed to be renewed. The sewer services over 15,000 households and businesses across Carlton, Brunswick and southern areas of Coburg. Sewage travelling through this main sewer ends up at the Western Treatment Plant in Werribee.
500m of HOBAS CC-GRP OD1499 Jacking Pipe was supplied by Global Pipe, the Australian distributor of Hobas, who also advised and assisted the contractor to manage the logistics of delivering product into a busy residential zone with minimal disruption to residents and local businesses. The project was completed in mid-2016.
